Cones and yellow tape mark off a walkway in the J.W. Cox Range Control Center lobby during construction. The carpet has been stripped off and the paintings on the wall have been placed in storage during the improvements. According to Jessica Maitland, management analyst, new epoxy flooring will replace the carpet and sound dampening material will be installed on the walls and ceiling to help control noise levels in the large room. Construction in the building’s customer service area began in December and is expected to be completed in April.
