This year’s fall cleanup is scheduled for Nov. 16 and 17. Employees and residents are asked to clean around their immediate work and residential area on those two days.
As part of the cleanup, participants are asked to identify where they may have excessive trash and clean it out.
If assistance is required, participants are asked to call the area’s Point Of Contact, who will be able to coordinate for additional manpower support.
Military manpower support will be available during those two days, if your organization needs assistance in getting rid of household, metal, paper and wood trash.
If participants need trash picked up prior to the 16th and 17th, they are asked to contact their area’s POC to schedule a time to assist with pickup and disposal.
This year unwanted tires and refrigerators can be disposed. A limited number of refrigerators, the first ten to be called in, will be accepted for pickup and disposal.
The owners must report unwanted refrigerators it to their POCs and pickup will be conducted on a first-come-first-serve basis.
If there are over 10 requests for refrigerator disposal, the remaining refrigerators will be picked up in the spring.
The WSMR leadership will support the 59-minute rule for civilians on Nov. 17, if they have spent at least four hours supporting the Installation cleanup within the two days. Supervisors are asked to support the initiative.
