Road Work Update
Gate construction ongoing
Construction work will be ongoing at the El Paso/Las Cruces Gates that will affect traffic entering and exiting the Installation. This is an ongoing project and updates will be sent out on weekly basis.
El Paso Gate
March 5-11
During this period, there will be closures as necessary of the El Paso Gate based on construction requirements.
El Paso Gate traffic rerouting plan:
Outbound lane will be closed from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Inbound lane will be closed from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Detour routes will be provided; please pay attention to detour signs.
If you will be entering or exiting the Installation during these times, allow yourself adequate time due to construction.
Las Cruces Gate
March 5-11
During this period, there will be closures as necessary of the Las Cruces Gate based on construction requirements.
Las Cruces Gate traffic rerouting plan:
Outbound lane will be closed from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Inbound lane will be closed from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Detour routes will be provided; please pay attention to detour signs.

War Road repairs Phase 2
Initial surveying for repairs to War Road Phase 2 and prepatory work is scheduled to begin approximately April 5. Project is scheduled through May 2011. Construction will begin on War Road, State Highway 213, at the corner of Dona Ana Base Camp. Expect delays and follow detour notifications as traffic will, at times, be rerouted. Information will be updated as construction proceeds.
